Today, I sent the following letter to Minister Bruce Ralston regarding the need for government to ensure equitable access to life-saving home heating and cooling retrofits, specifically heat pumps. As the climate crisis deepens, we need to move quickly to ensure that our communities are resilient to extreme weather events.

Governments have a duty of care to citizens, and when it comes to life-saving heat pumps or air conditioners, the government needs to find a way to ensure that people – especially the most vulnerable – have these when they need them.
